A hit-and-run driver committed two offenses Sunday, first hitting a vehicle near Mitsuwa Marketplace, and then crashing into an Arlington Heights police car, according to the Arlington Cardinal. The initial offense occurred at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of E. Algonquin Road, the Arlington Cardinal reported. When the suspect driver returned to the scene, he hit a police car from Arlington Heights that was reponding to the crash. One person was sent to the hospital.
After causing a crash at Lake Cook Road and McHenry Road on Dec. 27, the driver of a vehicle left the scene of the accident.
Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded Thursday, Dec. 27 to a hit-an-run personal injury crash at Lake Cook Road and McHenry Road, according to the Arlington Cardinal website. Police received a report that a black GMC Yukon hit a red Pontiac Vibe about 10:45 a.m., the Cardinal reported. The offending vehicle — the black GMC Yukon — was seen headed northbound on McHenry Road from Lake Cook Road. The Yukon had tinted windows and driver’s side front damage. The left front headlight was also “damaged out” and red paint transfer is likely on the Yukon, the Cardinal reported. The license on the Yukon was reported to be P57 8044.
