International Space Station to Fly Over Buffalo Grove Tonight

The Space Station will appear over the village at 6:58 p.m. Feb. 23, NASA reports.

The International Space Station will fly over Buffalo Grove at 6:58 p.m. Feb. 23, according to NASA. If skies are clear, viewers can watch it travel for four minutes, as it approaches from the northwest and disappears into the east.  It will reach a maximum height of 69 degrees, NASA reports. If the sky is clear enough, the International Space Station will look, to the naked eye, like a bright, "fast-moving plane," NASA says. While not filmed in Buffalo Grove, the attached YouTube video gives an example of an ISS flyby. Crews aboard the station are conducting a number of studies, including experimenting with space medicine and learning about gravity’s affect on life.
