Meet the Athlete: Brendan Sheehan
This week we take a look at a Stevenson lacrosse and hockey player who is headed to the College of Holy Cross to play lacrosse. He's also carrying a 4.6 grade point average.
Brendan Sheehan is a Stevenson High School senior who plays both lacrosse and ice hockey. On the field/rink: It's winter, which means it's hockey season. It's a sport that Sheehan won't take to college, but it's one that he still enjoys. "First of all, it's being part of a team,'' Sheehan said. "It's real community and family. I love playing defense for the team." Jim Wood is Stevenson's hockey coach. "His success in lacrosse has helped him improve as a hockey player," Wood said. "Originally a forward, Brendan changed to a defenseman during his sophomore year. In the Stevenson program, we look to our defensemen to be the quarterbacks of the offense.
