It is ironic that the often cited bipartisan bill that is used to argue about Bob Dold's moderation really shows he supports driving jobs overseas and severely altering Medicare. It is pointed out that Dold co/sponsored with a mere handful of Republicans and Democrats the Cooper Latourette debt reduction plan which Schneider has made clear he would not have supported. If those citing this purported sign of moderation would have shared the details of the Cooper plan it would have shown Dold's true colors, since as noted by the Center on Budget Policy and Priorities it would be clear that this bill which Dold co-sponsored would 1) provide exemptions for foreign profits which would Encourage tax avoidance and shift jobs overseas 2) the …

I believe all elections are a referendum on what kind of people we are and what kind of people we want to be, and the November elections are no exception. I am especially focused on the Congressional race in my district which pits Democrat Brad Schneider against incumbent Republican Robert Dold. A vote for Congressman Dold is a vote to keep Republicans in control of the House of Representatives and a continuation of abhorrent practices such as imposed inequality (marriage is rationed only to those approved by the GOP) and militant opposition to compromise as a solution to an electorate that is evenly split on nearly every issue. As a veteran and a citizen who believes in national service for all, I am also disgusted with a Congress that …

Democratic challenger sees red over GOP attempts to politicize relationship between Israel and the United States.
Both Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) and Democratic challenger Brad Schneider of Deerfield agree with President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Iran should not have nuclear weapons but are not in complete harmony on the approach. A day after the President told the United Nations General Assembly Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons; Netanyahu drew a red line on a chart telling the same body military action should be automatic if the boundary is crossed. Earlier: Democrats’ Jerusalem Platform Plank Unifies Dold, Schneider Like the President, both contenders for the 10th District seat want all options on the table including the use of force. Dold wants a precise red line to keep Iran in check. Schneider…

Schneider and Dold already have five commercials on television.
Commercials for Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth) and Democratic challenger Brad Schneider of Deerfield are starting to hit the airwaves in the 10th Congressional District as both candidates try to chart a course of independence and bipartisanship. Nowhere in any of the five commercials aired so far—three by Dold and two from Schneider—is the word Democrat or Republican mentioned. Neither are the words progressive or tea party used in the spots in this race drawing national attention. Earlier: Campaign Intensifies for Schneider, Dold “What you see now is fighting and gridlock,” Schneider said in his first commercial. “I’ll work with everyone. Democrat, Republican as long as they have a good idea.” Dold offers a similar message. “The …
