Buffalo Grove Village Hall is located on the municipal campus on Raupp Boulevard, on the north side of Lake CookMore Road. The building houses administrative offices and is where the Village Board meets twice a month to conduct business.

Buffalo Grove has a population of approximately 45,000 people. There are more than 17,000 homes in the village.

Among the village's most popular events are Buffalo Grove Days (run by a team of volunteers over Labor Day weekend) and the Arts Fair, a village-sponsored event held during one weekend in July. In 2010, the village introduced a farmers market.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department employs 71 officers who are dedicated to the safety of the village's residents.More Currently led by Police Chief Steve Balinski, the department includes a traffic division, investigations division and canine unit. It is a member of the Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County, Lake County Safe Kids and the Buffalo Grove Traffic Management Committee. Buffalo Grove police are a constant presence in the community, where they offer a variety of awareness and education programs. Those programs include a Citizens Police Academy, community forums on drug abuse, bike rodeos and Neighborhood Watch. The department, which is located on Buffalo Grove's Village Hall campus, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
Ivy Hall Elementary School

Ivy Hall School enrolls first- through fifth-graders. It is one of four elementary schools within the boundaries ofMore Buffalo Grove-based District 96. The school's entire student body is composed of children from the Village of Buffalo Grove, who are known as the Ivy Hall Wildcats. Upon completion of fifth grade, Ivy Hall students attend Twin Groves Middle School.

Ivy Hall School is located on the same campus as District 96's administrative offices. Ivy Hall Park, which is owned by the Buffalo Grove Park District, sits adjacent to the school. The park is jointly maintained by the park district and District 96.
