Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brandRead More new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail,,,,, http://WWW.MUMJOB.COM

Sounds like amature hour by the folks at Ravinia. Yes, staggering is the way to go ... not onlyRead More for purposes of reducing load, but also from a marketing perspective. Instead of capturing the market's attention for just a single day, they could've spread the interest across a longer time frame ... increasing frequency of exposure to Ravinia's lineup. If they're worried about people who want to purchase multiple events in one shot, they could always setup a sort of "membership" presale such as the LA Greek. However, I think the probably reason - based upon their response within FB - is that they opted to simply increase their cloud hosting platform's resource allocation for just a single window of time. In other words, they may have opted to scale up their resources by 5x for one go around vs. 2x for 10 staggered releases as a cost saving measure. Just a guess. Regardless, Ravinia is lucky to have Bob Weir in the house!

Ravinia is another example of North Shore arrogance. This is one of the most performance andRead More audience unfriendly entertainment venues in the country. It's all about see and be seen while gossiping and overpowering an economy car quality sound system while performers who can't see most of their audience play listlessly cause they get paid, top buck, to get in and get out. Buy a pricey pavilion seat for a non classical attraction and all you'll hear is constant surround sound chatter. A low minor league park disguised as major league, complete with rude bush league fans. It's like another Wrigley thing. Unfriendly disguised as friendly.

Not sure where the media got "up to 3 hours wait time" because we were waiting much longerRead More from 5 am (yes I woke up before 5 to log on which I do every year) and did not get tickets until after 10 am when everything we wanted was sold out but for one show. Guess we are just going to one show this year which is very disappointing. It is truly a disgrace that we had to wait 5 hours online to get tickets. Their system needs an update or they need another system. I disagree with you about the experience. My husband and I budget for about 3 concerts a year (Pavillion only for us b/c we enjoy being close to the action) at Ravinia and have had a great experience and have seen some of the best shows of our long lives.

Trying to distract from the fact that they have wild captured whales and dolphins in their poolsRead More that they kidnapped to exploit for money!

Learning how to take care of this whale species now will save it from extinction decades from nowRead More when their numbers are diminished through reckless hunting.

There are good reasons for certain institutions to capture wild creatures. WS mentioned one. ThatRead More said, there is the problem with over stocking of captured animals and not understanding them. Orcas are the primary example. Most orcas are not being captured for study but for profit. And when you have an 8 - 10 ton animal in an enclosed space your may have trouble - two trainers killed by the same orca. There are no recorded instances of orcas attacking humans in the wild - get one in a tank and even if the death is accidental you are still playing with fire - orcas are not dogs. They are highly intelligent creatures - actually the largest member of the dolphin family although their size resulted in their being termed "whale" many years ago and it has stuck. So I agree with both Gina and William on that subject. I am a little surprised that the Shedd is now expanding into a dog show as well. if that helps encourage people to adopt rescued dogs, great.

(20 ILCS 1605/2) (from Ch. 120, par. 1152) Sec. 2. This Act is enacted to implement andRead More establish within the State a lottery to be conducted by the State through the Department. The entire net proceeds of the Lottery are to be used for the support of the State's Common School Fund, except as provided in subsection (o) of Section 9.1 and Sections 21.2, 21.5, 21.6, 21.7, and 21.8. Ty, the even bigger political game was that the lottery was sold to ADD TO school funding. Instead,Read More what they did was to use the proceeds to REPLACE the existing funding. The net effect is the schools got about the same amount of money but the state got a huge windfall of new money (the old source of money that used to go to the schools) that they then used on port barrel spending to buy themselves more years at the public trough.
