We found Prairie House a few months ago after our friends reccomended we join them and have been goin back every week since. Nope, its not fancy, its not steaks and lobster but what they do, they do great! Its just relaxed and casual....we always see some friends there and never leave unhappy. Now that they have expanded the deck we have booked a party outside! We have heard SOO much about their Charity Corn Roast and cant wait to join all of our friends there on September 8th, the bands they have lined up are great! Thanks Prairie House for being a little bit different, a refreshing change to the chain restaurants in the area.

We found Prairie House a few years ago and have watched it turn from a diner with a bar into a great restaurant and fun bar. When we started going there they had well water and a septic system. They wisely made the investment to convert to Buffalo Grove city water and sewer...that alone changed the cozy lil place. The physical changes inside and out are great!! We usually end up there at least two nights a week and meet friends for drinks in the bar also. The burgers are out of this world, and the pizza, yummmm! I can't say enuf about the staff, if they see us park they have our drinks waiting at our table, know us by name and always treat us well! last nt we sat out on the deck & enjoyed our dinner and friends. We have also attended their fall charity corn roast, what a huge event, not many businesses will close their doors for a day and hold the event that they do benefitting local charities. They get an A+ from us, keep it up, you're only getting better and better!!

Ha ha! I just rated the pizza so here goes lunch... Prairie House serves great lunches! From the daily specials like tacos and meatloaf to great burgers and outstanding pizza to so many different beers to choose from they can't be beat. The atmosphere is relaxed and clean and the staff is always friendly and fun. From a weekend stop with the family to a business lunch, Prairie House never disappoints! Their food is great quality, tastes home made and the portions are big.

Me and my children stopped and had a bite to eat there two nights ago for dinner. To start, you walk in and have such a grimy old building smell. We sit down after waiting for someone to seat us and they don't give us menus. Five minutes go by still no menus...server comes over and said are you ready to place your order...um no we would need menus to do so! Very low-grade restaurant if you ask me...food was alright but nothing to write home about. I just can't believe the service... Will never be returning there!

The burger my husband had there was fantastic--better than Red Robin could ever do. Yes, he let me have 2 bites--yum! Absolutely the best burger ever!

I had the meatball sandwich and, personally, I will never order it again. The meatballs were dried out and the marinara sauce was nothing special, but the bread was toasted so the cheese was melted. I am extremely disappointed that I didn't order a burger instead.

Fries--many people rave about the "Jerry fries." They were very good.

Wow, it is just as my friends described... a unique little hot spot with great home cooked food! The staff is young, vibrant and attentive, the dining room is cozy and active. I had the opportunity to catch up with a few friends I have not seen in weeks. The bar was buzzing, good music playing and Karaoke was about to get started. The burger my son had was outstanding, the ribs fell off the bone and my thai chicken wrap was tasty! This is our new weekly spot! Thank You Prairie House for offering B.G. something different.
