This Weekend in Buffalo Grove: Stock Up On Veggies, Attend Charity Corn Roast, Support Cancer Fundraiser

Looking for something to do this weekend? There's plenty going on in and around Buffalo Grove!

Vegetables for a good cause? If that sounds like a win to you, head over to Buffalo Grove's Prairie House Saturday for its fifth annual charity corn roast. The event will also feature live music, a silent auction and a bungee run.

If you're still craving corn Sunday, be sure to visit the Buffalo Grove farmers market, where you can buy corn (and even have it roasted on site) and a variety of other fresh produce. The farmers market won't run Labor Day weekend, while Buffalo Grove Days is underway, so this weekend is your chance to stock up on your favorites until the market resumes Sept. 8.

After you've digested all that corn, head over to Eddie's Restaurant in Arlington Heights Sunday afternoon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society benefit organized by Buffalo Grove firefighter Brian Steen in honor of his colleague Ryan McCarthy. Participants are invited to eat, drink, buy raffle tickets and even volunteer to have their heads shaved for the cause.
