Going to the Buffalo Grove Days parade Sunday? Don't forget to bring some nonperishable food items along.
Look for the paraders collecting food donations as they walk. The parade begins at 1 p.m. at Bernard and Regent drives. Donations, which are collected in shopping carts, will be delivered to local food pantries.
If you have overdue items from the Vernon Area Public Library, bring along some food along there, too, when you return the items in September. The library has teamed with Move for Hunger to offer $1 off your fine in exchange for each food donation. The donated food will be taken to the Vernon Township food pantry.
