Buffalo Grove Residents Support Charities - And You Can Help
Buffalo Grove residents are supporting a variety of charities' fundraising efforts this spring.
Fundraising season is in full swing, and many Buffalo Grove residents are seeking donations for the causes they support.
Here’s a look at some of their efforts and how you can support them:

Cause: Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
Who’s Involved: Buffalo Grove residents Sharon Feld, Marilyn Wagner and Melanie Croft, and Long Grove residents Gina Quatrochi, Renee Clark and Cathy Bendoff. They are joined by other suburban residents.

Team: The Lady Lifesavers
How to Help:
- Purchase a “Perfect Pairing” at The Olive Tap through May 1, and $3 will be donated to the team.
- Order Mary Kay cosmetic products at an event from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Wyndham Garden Hotel, 900 W. Lake Cook Road, Buffalo Grove. Twenty-five percent of the profits will benefit the Lady Lifesavers. RSVP to sueglatt@netscape.net to attend. Online orders will also benefit the team if “Lifesavers” is written in the comment box.
- Fifth Annual Manicure & Merlot event at . Live entertainment, food, wine, raffle prizes, boutique vendors and salon specials will be offered from 5-10 p.m. April 25. Proceeds will benefit the Lady Lifesavers. Salon appointments are required by calling 847-541-1206.
- Second Annual Cinco De Mayo networking event from 5-7:30 p.m. May 5 at Cubby Bear. Receive all-you-can-eat appetizers and networking opportunities with a $20 donation. Call 847-997-9734 for more information.

Cause: March of Dimes
Who’s Involved: Buffalo Grove resident Mark Walton serves as the Lake County walk’s chairman.
How to Help: Donate online or receive information about how to get involved by emailing Allison Connolly at aconnolly@marchofdimes.com. The walk takes place at 9 a.m. April 17 at the Old School Forest Preserve in Libertyville.
Cause: American Cancer Society – Relay for Life
Who’s Involved: John Paunan
How to Help: Donate online to support his fundraising efforts.
Cause: Special Kids Network
Who’s Involved: Bari Levin
How to Help: Participate in the organization’s 12th Annual Golf & Women’s Tennis Tournament on July 25 at Twin Orchards Country Club, Long Grove. Keshet is the beneficiary of this year’s event.
