BGHS to Hold Blood Drive
The community is invited to participate in the Feb. 16 event.
The Senior Class Board of will host its annual blood drive under the auspices of LifeSource Blood Services from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 16 in the school gymnasium.
The community is invited to join students, staff, and parents in making a life-saving 10-minute donation. The entire process takes a total of about 45 minutes, from registration to refreshments. Potential donors ages 16-80 must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. A mini-physical is part of the procedure, in which a nurse will take the pulse, blood pressure, temperature and test hemoglobin levels. A photo I.D. is required to donate blood. All participating donors will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last) bearing the slogan: "Learning to Save Lives Is Easier Than You Think."
