Vernon Area Library presentation goes behind the scenes of the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre
The nationally-acclaimed Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a musical during an exclusive visit to the Vernon Area Public Library on Monday, July 22 from 7-8 p.m.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about the Marriott’s approach to selecting musicals, casting, staging and costume design for the theatre’s renowned productions in-the-round. Learn how the Marriott has earned a reputation for excellence with both classic American musical theatre, as well as original and re-thought musicals.
Theater lovers will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions with key members of the Marriott’s seasoned creative team, including: Executive Producer Terry James, Artistic Director Aaron Theilen, Artistic Associate Peter Sullivan, Costume Designer Nancy Missimi, Sound Designer Bob Gilmartin, and Business Manager Margaret Newton.

The Marriott Theatre, founded 1975, sells more than 400,000 tickets a year, and boasts the largest subscription base of any musical theatre. The theatre earns lavish praise from critics, receiving a record 370 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations - Chicago's highest theatrical honor for artistic achievement.
