The Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band performed for a large crowd July 4 at the Rotary Village Green. Marching tunes, patriotic songs and military music, including this clip of "Anchors Aweigh," were among the highlights.
During one portion of the concert, Conductor Howard Green invited children in the audience to try their hands at leading the band. Through it all, the musicians didn't miss a beat.
