Buffalo Grove Farmers Market Enters Third Year

Outdoor market begins on Father's Day and run through Oct. 7.

More than 30 vendors have been lined up for Buffalo Grove’s third annual , which will feature cheese, vegetables, fruit, coffee beans, meats, eggs, jams, honey, plants, spices, maple syrups, mustards, mushrooms, baked goods, dog biscuits, knife sharpening, fresh donuts and more.

The market will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sundays from June 17 through Oct. 7 (no market on Sept. 2) in the parking lot.

The market kicks off on Father’s Day with a performance by singer/guitarist Whitey O’Day from 9 a.m. to noon and balloon art by Ryan Freeman. The Expressions will sell pop and bottled water, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be on hand.

The first 750 guests on opening day will receive free, reusable shopping bags sponsored by local businesses, including Buffalo Grove Patch.

Attractions throughout the summer will include cooking demonstrations and appraisals of valuables. Non-perishable foods will be collected each week at the information booth to benefit the food pantry. Cash donations will also be accepted.
