Fact or Fiction

What is fact and what is fiction? The latest weight loss research proves one thing. Slow steady weight loss is healthy.

February 5, 2013

It’s on every TV station and in many of my internet medical newsletters.  A researcher in Alabama has separated the facts from fiction about losing weight.  What they seem to have proved is what I’ve been telling my patients all along.  You cannot be somebody you are not but you can be a better you.

I must take issue with one of the researcher’s statements.  There are some things that, while they defy science, should never be challenged in public.  The Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the fact that sex leads to weight loss should be sacrosanct!  Unfortunately, the news has chosen to focus on the fact that sex only burns 14 more calories than watching TV.  What they didn’t account for were the calories in the popcorn and chips consumed while watching TV that were not consumed during sex (in most cases).

Diets and Other Unnatural Acts’ central premise is perfectly in line with the newest research.  Being a better you pays off in ways diets never will.  The authors teach you how to first define who you are and then refine yourself in terms of your physical, nutritional, emotional and spiritual selves.  Chicken Steps leads to permanent change over a long period of time and that change leads to a happier, healthier and Wellthier you.

Read Diets and Other Unnatural Acts and live the Wellthy Lifestyle and revel in the other benefits of frequent sex!  It can’t hurt!
