Stevenson Swimmers and Divers Place at State Meet
The state meet took place Feb. 22-23 at New Trier High School.
Stevenson High School diver James Lichtenstein placed third at the Illinois High School Association state competition this weekend.
The senior’s final score was 412.75, behind Brandis Heffner of Normal and Joey Cifelli of Chicago Heights. Teammate Blake Ripes took 10th place in the competition with a score of 392.95.

Two Stevenson swimmers also placed at state. Nick Koto took 11th place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.85, and Allen Feng placed 10th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of :51.46.
