Patriots Win Homecoming Game

Stevenson maintains perfect season record with 41-20 victory over Lake Forest

Stevenson High School's Patriots sealed Homecoming week with a 41-20 victory Friday over the Lake Forest Scouts.

By the end of the first quarter, the Patriots had secured a 34-0 lead, with touchdowns achieved by Joe Cassata, Kevin Foley and Nathan Kahn.

Stevenson fan Kevin Buck said during the game that he was confident the Patriots would maintain their undefeated record.

The Scouts scored during second quarter, the first of two goals made by Owen Williams. But their attempt at a comeback wasn't enough, as the Patriots maintained the lead throughout the game.

Elizabeth White, a Stevenson grad who is now a gymnastics coach at Lake Forest, said it was "an exciting game."

Tom Myers, a retired coach from Stevenson, who is now defensive line coach at Lake Forest, said the Scouts "showed a lot of courage."
