There's plenty of snow now to get out and enjoy some winter sports at Lake County Forest Preserves.

Whether you're into cross-country skiing, sledding, ice skating or ice fishing, the Lake County Forest Preserves have you covered for winter sporting activities.

Check out these forest preserve locations to learn more:

  • Buffalo Creek along the border of Buffalo Grove and Long Grove. Now open for cross-country skiing.
  • Half Day near Vernon Hills. Now open for cross-country skiing.
  • Independence Grove in Libertyville. Now open for cross-country skiing. Currently closed for ice skating and ice fishing.
  • Old School near Libertyville. Now open for cross-country skiing and sledding. Currently closed for ice skating.
