The second annual “Connie’s Run for Hope” 5K Run / Walk and 10 K Run will be held at the Busse Woods Forest Preserve. This race is being conducted in accordance with USA Track and Field regulations on a USATF Certified Course. Hundreds of runners are expected to join The Connie Sizer Foundation NFP to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Rochester, Minn. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged and is available through a link on the Events page at http://www.conniesizer.org.

The Connie Sizer Foundation was created in December 2009 in memory of Connie (Suk Nan) Sizer, wife of BG Police Officer Bob Sizer (ret.). Connie was an amazing woman who fought Multiple Myeloma for 14 years before her death. Connie was an inspiration in the way she lived her life, cared for people and provided for those in need.
