Sophomore Kaitlyn Ko took seventh place in the girls cross-country state meet in Peoria Saturday, finishing the three-mile course in 17:14.
Ko, the only girl to qualify from Buffalo Grove High School, kept a 5:44 pace at the Detweiller Park course.
New Trier’s Mimi Smith finished in first place with a time of 16:43.
