BG/H/W Hockey Team Heads to State
The hockey team, made up of players from Buffalo Grove, Wheeling and Hersey high schools, will play for the state title this weekend.
The Buffalo Grove/Hersey/Wheeling Varsity Stampede Hockey Club will face Rockford for the boys combined division state championship March 24 at the United Center.
The game will begin at 3 p.m.
General admission tickets are $5 online, in person at the United Center box office or by phone through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets include admission to the girls division championship at 12:30 p.m. and the boys state championship between Glenbrook North and New Trier at 6 p.m.

Buffalo Grove/Hersey/Wheeling fans can purchase $20 tickets at West Meadows Ice Arena that include a T-shirt, game admission and bus transportion from the ice arena.
The BG/H/W varsity club also faced Rockford in 2010-11, when it lost to the team in the Final Four.
