Northbrook’s House 406 Restaurant Now Open

The farm-to-table steakhouse on Church Street is co-owned by a Northbrook native and former Stephanie Izard assistant.

Northbrook’s farm-to-table steakhouse House 406, is now open at 1143 ½ Church Street.

The restaurant’s Facebook page thanked its first diners Thursday night and says it’s already booked for Friday and Saturday nights. But walk-ins will be accommodated as possible.

House 406 is co-owned by Northbrook native Jennifer Eisen, a long-time, former assistant to chef Stephanie Izard, and her boyfriend, chef Eloin Amador, according to an article in Chicago Magazine.

The duo also opened The Roots Catering in Glenview together.

Chicago magazine describes the menu as meat-heavy, but with plenty of options for diners who prefer fish, veggies or gluten-free choices.
