If your business or charity has secured a sponsor for an event, then congratulations are in order. Finding a sponsor is no small task. Now that you have found someone to contribute to your event you need to go about providing them with value. One of the most common conditions of a sponsorship at an event is sponsor representation on signage. Today we will go over some best practices when it comes to representing a sponsor as well as some ideas for your event signage.

Properly representing your sponsor's brand should be a primary concern. High quality banners and signs are the first step. High quality printing will ensure that your graphics are clear and your colors are vibrant. Speaking of graphics and colors, make sure to obtain design elements from your sponsor, as they will have the proper files. You should not just take an image off their website, since it might not be the proper size or quality for this use. For best results, obtain a graphic in vector file format from your sponsor, as this will ensure best quality no matter how large the signage will be.  Your sponsor has likely put a lot of time, effort and money into their branding and a low quality sign or logo could ruin your chances of obtaining future sponsorships.

Including your sponsors on all major banners is a common practice, as is including them on any items that may be given away such as t-shirts. One additional idea is to offer sponsorships for specific sections of your event. Charity golf outings typically employ this in the form of individual hole sponsorships, but the idea extends to many other situations. If you have food at your event, you can offer a sponsorship for the dining area with appropriate exclusive signage. If your event is indoors, then a custom banner is your best option. If your event is outdoors, you should consider a teardrop banner. These signs are stylish and look great staked into the ground.
