Your Vote Could Help a Buffalo Grove Student Win a College Scholarship

Two Buffalo Grove residents are competing in Augustana College's T-shirt contest. Community members can cast votes to help one of them become the "People's Choice" category winner and receive $1,000.

Two high school seniors from Buffalo Grove are among the students competing for five $1,000 scholarships to Augustana College.

Augustana’s Good Fit T-shirt contest invites prospective students to submit photos of themselves wearing the Augustana shirts they received during campus visits.

This year’s contestants include Jesse Hall, who is a senior at Stevenson High School, and Alexander Wright, a senior at Buffalo Grove High School. Votes cast on the site will determine which prospective student wins the college’s “People’s Choice” scholarship. Awards will also be administered by a panel of Augustana judges for best action shot, the best photo taken in a famous location, a photo taken at another college and a photo taken with an Augustana graduate.

“The Good Fit T-Shirt competition is a fun way Augustana can get to know the potential members of its incoming class while spreading the word about Augustana College at the same time,” the school said in a statement.
