Video Pays Tribute to Former Stevenson Band Director

A graduate of Stevenson High School created this YouTube video in memory of Dave Habley, who directed the school's band for 17 years.

Stevenson marching band fans can get a look at the band as it was decades ago through a YouTube video created as a tribute to Dave Habley, the band's founder and longtime director.

Habley died Jan. 6 at the age of 82.

The video features music, band footage, photos and newspaper clippings documenting the band's achievements during Habley's 17 years of leadership. It was posted on YouTube by Bob Horvath. Horvath is a 1979 Stevenson graduate who played in the band, according to Stevenson's Daily Digest.

“Thank you for being a part of our lives …” the video concludes. “Your music lives on in all of us.”
