's boys cross country team placed first at the City Suburban Catholic League Invitational on Sept. 16 in Niles, giving the team their third championship of the season.
The boys competed against 18 schools and more than 800 runners. Three St. Mary runners placed in the top 10. The team was led by John Caffarelli in second place, Bobby Bitter in eighth place, Nick Lang in ninth, as well as Michael Orsini in 31st and Noah Lukz in 37th.
