Improve Your Home, Improve Your World

A nationally-known energy efficiency expert will show how changes at home can help your wallet and the environment during a free event at the Stevenson High School West Auditorium on Wednesday, April 20. The event is sponsored by Siemens Industry USA’s Building Technologies Division, and the SHS Green Committee.

Kenneth G. Sheinkopf, vice president of The Sheinkopf Group, will be the featured speaker during "The Principles, Strategies and Benefits of an Energy-Efficient Home." The evening will begin with "green tours" of Stevenson led by students from 7 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a 15-minute presentation about Stevenson’s sustainability efforts and its application for LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Sheinkopf’s talk will begin at 7:45, followed by an audience question-and-answer session beginning around 8:30.

Those attending the event should park in Lot B, and enter the school through the "Point" entrance (Entrance No. 1). Once inside, take the stairs on the right to the West Auditorium.
