District 214 Gets a Perfect Score

ISBE gives the high school district all As for financial excellence.

Township High School District 214 has received the highest financial score available by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

While the school district has received Recognition status—the highest financial designation — consistently over the past seven years, this is the first time the district has received a perfect 4.0 score. The district’s financial score has been on an upward move in spite of the difficult economic times facing the state and school districts.

Annually, ISBE considers five factors when determining a school district’s financial score. District 214 scored in the top category for all financial indicators, including Fund Balance to Revenue Ratio, Expenditure to Revenue Ratio, Days Cash On Hand, Percent of Short-Term Borrowing Maximum Remaining and Percent of Long-Term Debt Margin Remaining.
