District 214 Considers Student Fee Increases
Registration, athletic and extracurricular fees could be raised next year due a projected budget deficit, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Increases in student registration, athletic and extracurricular fees are being considered by High School District 214 school board to addresss projected budget shortfalls of up to $5 million for the 2013-14 school year, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The district has made a number of moves to curtail spending, according to the Chicago Tribune. A cost comparison with neighboring District 211 found comparable registration fees to be nearly $300 more per year in District 214.
