College Wind Symphony to Perform at BGHS

Buffalo Grove High School will host the Dec. 7 concert.

The University of Illinois Wind Symphony, directed by Robert Rumbelow, will perform a concert in Buffalo Grove High School's Miller Theater at 4 p.m. Dec. 7.

Featured on the program are works by Leonard Bernstein, Richard Wagner, Michael Gandolfi and Vittorio Giannini, as well as a few rousing marches. The community is invited to attend this admission-free performance.

The premier performing ensemble of the 13-ensemble U of I Band department, the world-class U of I Wind Symphony will be traveling to various schools throughout the state, not only to perform, but also to promote its programs. Attendees will have the opportunity to find out about applying to the university, to learn about its curricular programs and to ask questions.
