Buffalo Grove Poms to Compete in National Championships

The Bisonettes won first place at the Fenton High School Invitational.

Buffalo Grove High School's award-winning varsity Bisonette poms will travel to Orlando to compete in the National Dance Team Championships from Feb. 2-6.  The event will take place at Walt Disney World, where the Bisonettes will also have some time to enjoy the parks. Teams will be coming from all over the country to compete in this multi-day event.

Last summer, the Bisonettes competed at the Universal Dance Association camp at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. Buffalo Grove's routine received a high score, which qualified the squad to compete in the Nationals. The Bisonettes will compete in both the small varsity and high kick divisions.

On Jan. 28, the Bisonettes competed at Fenton High School's Invitational where the varsity team captured first place and also qualified for state in both Pom and Kick categories. Throughout the current competitive season, the Bisonettes have already won four first-place trophies.
