Buffalo Grove Districts Cancel After-School Activities

Thursday's weather and worsening road conditions has led to the cancellation of after-school programs in some districts, while others will continue their scheduled activities.

Weather conditions this afternoon (Feb. 7) have caused a number of area schools to cancel their after-school activities.

In School District 96, students will be dismissed at the end of the school day. Buses will run on regular schedules, according to an email from the district.

The same is true in District 102. "Because there are no late buses, students must be picked up by a parent or guardian or go home on the regular bus," the district's website states.

All activities have also been canceled in School District 21, a staff member confirmed to Patch.

At Stevenson High School, the girls gymnastics sectional and incoming freshmen course selection will take place as scheduled. All other after-school activities have been canceled, and there will be no 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. buses today, the district announced on its Facebook page.
