BG’s Rodriguez Advances to State Swim Finals

Buffalo Grove star assures team of placing in State Meet. Stevenson fails to move on.

Ian Rodriquez moved into the finals of the Illinois High School Association Swim Meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Trier after qualifying performances during Friday’s preliminary round. 

Rodriguez’s effort assures the Bison of points in Saturday’s finals and a standing in the State Meet.

Rodriguez qualified in 11th place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.52. He was Buffalo Grove’s only participant in the competition.
