Buffalo Grove also defeated Wheeling this week, but lost to Lake Forest.

's girls volleyball team took second place last weekend in the Vernon Hills High School Cougar Classic Volleyball Tournament. The team defeated Jones College Prep and Carmel in pool play, lost in pool play to Glenbrook North, defeated Vernon Hills in the semi-finals and lost to Glenbrook North in the championship game.

On Sept. 13, Buffalo Grove played at home in conference play. BG (7-9, 2-1) won 25-18 and 25-23
