Nickels Add Up to Positive Change

"Nickels for Nature" adds up to positive change

John Cortesi, President and CEO of Sunset Foods, and Shannon Coghlan, Kildeer School District 96 PTO representative, shake on the environmentally friendly fundraising campaign, “Nickels for Nature,” launched on October 18. The Sunset Foods store at the corner of Aptakisic and Route 83, Long Grove, will donate a nickel to the District 96 PTOs for any and every reusable bag (no limit) brought in by customers.
All D96 PTOs will benefit from this earth-saving collaborative initiative. Any reusable bags are acceptable, and the more reusable bags shoppers use for their Sunset groceries, the more nickels District 96 PTOs collect. Shoppers need only to mention District 96 when they check out.
