The trade fair has been a social studies curriculum highlight for the past 7 years. Fifth-grade teacher Kristen Linnenberger and teacher colleagues use the fair to teach the basics of supply & demand economics, marketing, and bartering/sales.
This learning activity engages the 5th graders and challenges them both as entrepreneurs and as educated consumers.
