District 96 Foundation Awards Scholarships to Stevenson Class of 2012 Alumni

The District 96 Foundation awarded scholarships to three District 96 alumni who graduated in the Stevenson High School Class of 2012.

On May 24 at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove, the District 96 Foundation awarded scholarships to three District 96 alumni who graduated in the Stevenson High School Class of 2012. Foundation President Wright Chase and Treasurer Dr. Michael Klass made the presentations.

Woodlawn Middle School alumna Andrea Pasminski and Twin Groves Middle School alumna Marissa Lobl each were awarded Marc E. Spivak $1000 service scholarships. The Spivak scholarship recognizes former District 96 students for whom community service is a passion and honors District 96 Foundation founder and former Board of Education president Marc Spivak.

Woodlawn alumnus Matthew Micucci received the Dr. Thomas W. Many $1000 Educational Scholarship for his extraordinary commitment to academics, service, and leadership. Former superintendent Dr. Many retired in 2010 following 20 years of service to the District 96 community.
