Our Recent Visit to Chapman University in California

If you’re looking for arts schools or smaller schools in Southern California, our next five college blogs will highlight the colleges and universities we recently visited as a guest of the “5 Star College Tour”.  For more information on colleges, you can also “Like” Ravinia College Consulting on Facebook.

The first California school we visited was Chapman University, located in suburban Los Angeles (Orange County).  Chapman is considered a mid-sized, liberal arts school, with 5,600 undergraduates.  Chapman is known for its Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, housed in their Marion Knott Studios.  Guest speakers such as Maya Rudolph and Andrew Stanton of Pixar are common, as are local internships in the film industry.  Chapman is also strong in other fine arts: dance, theatre and music.  Admission is highly competitive.

A new 130,000 sq. ft. science facility is in the works, as is a 5-year doctoral pharmacy program.  Chapman is a vibrant, energetic campus with strong Division III athletics, smaller classes and faculty who are very involved with their students.
