Visitors to Xtreme Trampolines could soon be offered more than opportunities to bounce.
The business is asking Buffalo Grove to allow it to add 36 coin-operated amusement devices to the facility.
The 50,000-square-foot trampoline park’s permit would need to be amended before the machines could be installed. Buffalo Grove’s village code allows for no more than 36 amusement machines in a recreational facility. Without an amended permit, the business can have no more than three amusement devices.
Amusement devices can include such machines as video games, game tables and mechanical rides, among others.
A special use permit for Chicago Indoor Racing already allows up to 36 amusement devices.
Asked whether Buffalo Grove police have any reservations about allowing Xtreme Trampolines to add amusement devices, Dep. Chief Steve Husak said no.
The Village Board referred the request to the Plan Commission on Monday. Plan Commissioners will hold a workshop and public hearing before the request returns to the Village Board.
