Want to Vote by Mail? Apply Now

Lake County voters can request an application for a mail-in ballot.

Registered voters in Lake County may now request an official application for a mail-in ballot for the March 20 primary election. Illinois law requires each person voting by mail to complete an application for ballot before each election. Once the signed application is received, a ballot can be mailed to the voter.

For faster service, print the online application at LakeVoterPower.info and mail to Lake County Clerk, Rm. 101, 18 N. County St., Waukegan, IL 60085. The web application is a fillable form to print, sign and date before mailing.

Applications for ballot may also be requested by calling 847-377-2406 or emailing VotingByMail@lakecountyil.gov to have the form sent by mail. Those choosing to vote by mail can visit LakeVoterPower.info and use the "Track My Ballot" option to confirm their voted ballot has been received by the office of Lake County Clerk Willard Helander. Voted ballots must be returned to the Clerk's office with a postmark no later than March 19, the day prior to Election Day.
