Village Presents Golden Bison Award

Eagle Test Systems is the 2012 recipient of Buffalo Grove's annual business award.

A Buffalo Grove company was honored for its commitment to the community this month with the village’s 2012 Golden Bison award. 

The award is presented annually to a Buffalo Grove business that go above and beyond their everyday operations.

This year’s recipient is , a division of Teradyne. The global company has been headquarted in Buffalo Grove since 2005. When its employees aren’t providing automated test equipment, they are working to benefit a number of area organizations.

In the last year, employees have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, collected toys for Toys for Tots, held a supply drive to benefit PADS and conducted a shoe drive for Soles for Souls.

“These are just a very few examples of this business, which really goes above and beyond to give back to the community and to promote themselves,” said Deputy Village Manager Ghida Neukirch, who began the village's award program and presented this year's award .

Eagle Test Systems was also recognized for receiving a 2012 Supplier Excellence Award from Texas Instruments. 

General Manager Mark Kohalmy accepted the award July 9 on the company’s behalf. 

“We’re gratified that you’ve recognized the commitment of our employees to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and for their participation in activities such as Toys for Tot,” he told village officials. “Those activities really bind our employees together and become a strong part of our company culture."
