Sente to be Honored as Legislator of the Year

Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts to Present Award Feb 11.

State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) is being recognized with a Legislator of the Year Award on Saturday by the Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts at their upcoming annual conference. As state representative, Sente has been a consistent supporter of the needs of area fire protection districts and has often taken a lead role in introducing and promoting necessary legislation.

“While I am honored to receive this award, the real heroes are those men and women who work every day to ensure that Illinois residents and their property are safe from harm,” Sente said. “Whether it is fire protection or law enforcement, I am dedicated to making sure that the people who protect our communities are given the support they need to do an effective job.”

The Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts is a professional organization of fire protection district trustees who oversee the operation and administration of their district’s affairs.
