State rep. Carol Sente will join other legislators to develop leadership skills and study public policy issues.

Chosen for her leadership abilities and strong commitment to public service, State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) has been selected to participate in a training program that annually identifies and assists promising state leaders.

Sente will join a bipartisan collection of leaders from across the Midwest and Canada for the Council of State Governments’ 17th annual Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD) from Aug. 12-16.

“I am honored to be one of three Illinois lawmakers to be accepted to the Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development,” Sente said. “This leadership program recognizes the work of legislators and works with them to increase their effectiveness in government.
