Mail-In Election Ballots Available

This option saves Lake County voters a trip to the polls.

Ballots are now available for voters who wish to vote by mail. Lake County registered voters can request a one-time ballot for the April 5 Consolidated Election or enroll in the Permanent Voting by Mail Program.

Once enrolled in the permanent program, voters automatically receive a ballot for every election specified at the address they provide. Prior to each primary election, the voter's party preference is confirmed. Voters remain in the program until the Clerk's office receives notification from the voter to be removed or the voter becomes inactive.

"Voting by mail is a convenient way to assure your voice is heard in each election-no matter how busy daily life becomes," Helander said.
