The Village of Buffalo Grove, in conjunction with the Lake County Department of Transportation, the Cook County Highway Department and the Illinois Department of Transportation, is performing a preliminary engineering study for Weiland/Prairie Road from Lake-Cook Road to Route 22 and for Lake-Cook Road from Buffalo Grove Road to Hastings Lane.
This neighborhood meeting will focus on the Weiland/Prairie Road portion of the study area. Objectives are to:
- Review comments received from the Dec. 15 public meeting
- Present plans for additional traffic and pedestrian studies
- Gather input on the locations and times of greatest pedestrian activity
- Review the need for and features of highway noise mitigation measures
- Review process for deciding whether and where to include noise mitigation
- Seek public input and comment
