is looking to construct a freestanding building in Buffalo Grove that would replace its current location in the Chase Plaza shopping center.
A representative for the owner told trustees in June that the Burdeen family hopes to construct a retail building at the southeast corner of Lake-Cook and Arlington Heights roads, across the street from its current location.
The building, which would be up to 7,000 square feet, would take up part of parking lot.
Trustees referred the proposal to the Plan Commission, which will examine issues such as parking spots for bank and jewelry store customers and providing lighting for the property without affecting residents to the south. The Village Board will revisit the proposal following a recommendation from the Plan Commission.
