Buffalo Grove Seeks New Deputy Village Manager

Selected candidate will replace Ghida Neukirch.

Two months after Buffalo Grove’s longtime deputy village manager resigned, the village is working to fill the position.

A job posting on the village’s website says, “The Deputy Village Manager serves at the direction of the Village Manager, providing high-level administrative and professional assistance in the coordination, planning, deployment and administration of the Village’s human and capital resources and leading the community’s economic development program. The Deputy Village Manager provides executive-level guidance to the Village Manager in formulating strategies, policies and plans for the long-term sustainability and operation of the municipal government. In addition to the policy-level duties of the position, the Deputy Village Manager is expected to possess and utilize strong technical and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in financial planning and management, process analysis, technology deployment and economic development.”

The salary range is listed at $100,000 to $135,000. The complete job listing can be found here.

Village staff will begin reviewing resumes on Oct. 19, according to the job posting.

Ghida Neukirch resigned in July to accept a similar position in Highland Park. Since then, Ann Marie Goura has served as Buffalo Grove’s interim deputy village manager.
