Applications Sought from Potential Trustees

The Buffalo Grove Village Board will have a vacancy when Trustee Jeffrey Braiman assumes the role of village president.

When Jeffrey Braiman, by virtue of an uncontested election, takes the reins as village president this spring, the remaining two years of his trustee term will be up for grabs.

Braiman said this week that he aims to name the resident who will replace him in May, when the newly elected village board members are installed.

Those interested in being appointed to remainder of his term, which expires in April 2013, are asked to submit a resume no later than April 1. Applications can be emailed to Braiman at JBraiman@vbg.org, faxed to him at 847-577-8935 or dropped off at Village Hall.

The appointed trustee will join Jeff Berman, Mike Terson, Beverly Sussman, Steven Trilling and one other newcomer, as voters will elect either Denice Bocek or Andrew Stein to a two-year term on April 5. Village President Elliott Hartstein and Trustee DeAnn Glover are not seeking re-election.
