Wauconda Woman Got Stuck in Mud to Shoulders

It took rescue workers an hour to remove woman safely from the mud last night.

A 57-year-old Wauconda woman went to remove beaver dams from her property and became trapped up to her armpits in mud on Aug. 20, the Northwest Herald reports. 

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. The Northwest Herald reported that the woman was stuck in the mud about two hours before she was found and that it took another hour for rescue workers from the Wauconda Fire District to safely extricate her. 

The woman was removed from the mud without suffering any serious injuries.
