Three Charged With Felonies After BB Gun Incidents

Trio is allegedly responsible for damaging vehicles and a home in Buffalo Grove.

Three people face felony charges of criminal property damage after BB guns were used to shoot at vehicles and a home in Buffalo Grove.

The charges came after were notified at 12:11 a.m. Sept. 24 that a picture window on the 700 block of Patton Drive had just been shot with a BB. The complainant reported seeing a four-door silver sedan leaving the area.

Officers located a silver four-door Lexus in the area and conducted a traffic stop. A search of the vehicle and further questioning of the suspects revealed the body or windows of 12 vehicles had been damaged, in addition to the window at the residence. Police found replicas of a Beretta 92F handgun and a fully automatic Uzi sub-machine gun in the vehicle.

Charged were Jackson Aren, 20, of the 1700 block of Country Club Drive, Hawthorn Woods; Antonio Hatcher, 19, of the 1100 block of Museum Drive, Vernon Hills; and Connor Roman, 17, of the 5000 block of Hilltop Road, Long Grove. All three appeared in bond court Sept. 24 and were released on $10,000 individual recognizance bonds. A preliminary court date is scheduled for Oct. 12.

Police are working to determine whether the three are responsible for other incidents involving damage from BB guns that occurred on the Lake County side of the village earlier this month.
